I love drumming and writing speculative fiction. I have been lucky, playing drums with a lot of gifted musicians; Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Allman Brothers, Tim Buckley, Frank Zappa, Big Joe Turner, Mike Bloomfield, and many others. My first writing gig was for George Lucas writing the Star Wars comic strips, now re-released by Marvel. I was classically trained since the age of eight in Elkhart, Indiana. At thirteen I moved to central Florida where there was no orchestra. I learned how to play Rhythm and Blues which is totally different than classical music. i had to learn how to FEEL the music instead of just reading the notes. I now show people how to play from their heart instead of their intellect. Rhythm and writing are healing and transcendent events and are therapies for our times. I also spent decades in the film business; post production at Lorimar; Dallas, Knotts Landing, Falconcrest, and others. i will be publishing sequels to the psychic spy thriller, "The Oracle", which is based on real events as well as other spy novels and also more drumming books like, "History of the Groove" and "Way of the Drum". I am teaching drumming meditation and work as a drum therapist in Santa Monica, and touring the U.S. Japan, Australia and UK.
