What happens when your dreams turn into reality? Sandy Jacobsen writes a mystery novel. She has always been drawn to mysteries, whether on film or the written word. She finds herself consumed by the stories her mind creates and has branched out to an unknown territory from writing corporate business letters to penning down intriguing, eloquent, and enigmatic mystery novels that are absolute page turners. This is a fun and exciting venture for her and she knows that once you discover her fast-paced books you'll find them hard to put down. Sandy grew up in Salem, Oregon, along with her two brothers. As a teenager, she began training and showing horses. Sandy spent fifteen years in the western discipline and twenty-five years training and showing three-day event horses. She also spent fourteen years training and showing in dressage with her two horses, Picasso and Monterery. She and her horses have won a lifetime of championships and awards, culminating with the USDF gold medal in dressage. Sandy currently lives in Sequim, Washington with her dog Baylee, her horse Picasso, and two goats Spreckles and Rusty. Her careers have been greatly varied, from corporate positions, owning and operating a cookie company in Hawaii, to owning and operating an equestrian center in Bend, Oregon. Sandy's last occupation was owning and managing an eight-plex apartment building. This experience has given her a vast insight into human nature which has come in handy for composing mystery novels. The first book Sandy published was a dressage instruction manual. She has been published several times in the magazine Dressage Today. The last published article was in May, 2016 about earning her gold medal in dressage as a senior rider. She also composed an article about the retirement of her multiple champion three-day event horse in the Oregon Dressage Society August 1999 newsletter. Never Alone Again is the first of four mystery novels she has written. Be sure to look for Turn Around & Don't Blink, This Is Who I Am, and Who's Guilty Now. Continuing with more novels, Sandy has written a series of four (soon to be five) novels with three characters who seem to get involved in their own mysteries. The first of these, Smart Choices, is currently available on Amazon. Another novel - I'm Worth It and a children's book about her chicken are also in the works. Another passion of Sandy's has been fine art. Her home is a gallery of the oil and watercolor paintings that she created. The girl on the cover of the novel - This Is Who I Am is one of her original water color paintings. Over the years, Sandy has been involved in rescuing horses and dogs. She once went to a slaughterhouse and rescued a horse from the kill pen. Another horse she rescued was a thoroughbred taken off a kill truck headed to Mexico for slaughter. She retrained these horses and sold them to living families. Most of her dogs have been obtained from rescue organizations and dog pounds.
