Sharon Lyon is a geologist, author, and science educator. Ms. Lyon has worked as a paleontologist, a petroleum geologist, and an environmental scientist. However, her greatest passion is teaching and as a Professor of Physical Sciences, she shares her love of geology with her college students. Both of her novels in the Fossil Woman series launched as #1 Amazon best-sellers. The Fossil Woman audiobook won an IPBA Benjamin Franklin Silver Award. Ms. Lyon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from The College of William and Mary, and a Master of Science degree from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She currently resides in Virginia.
