Stafford Betty is an afterlife researcher, novelist, and emeritus university professor of religious studies. His major nonfiction books include The Afterlife Unveiled, (2011), a bestseller, Heaven and Hell Unveiled (2014), and When Did You Ever Become Less by Dying? Afterlife: The Evidence (2016). His novels The Imprisoned Splendor (2011) and The Afterlife Therapist (2020) bring to life his research. His imaginative futurist novel, The Womanpriest (2023), describes how an American woman in 2080 stuns the world by becoming the first female pope. His latest novel, Guardians of the Afterworld, published in early 2024, shows how our world and the one we enter at death can influence each other. Stafford is married and has five children.
