Steve Odenthal (1953- ) is a Humorist and Playwright living in the Intermountain West. He enjoys traveling with his wife, Valerie, and seriously enjoys time spent with the grand-kids. His writing captures the joy of family life and brings a smile to the reader. His firm belief is that we don't take the time to laugh often and certainly not at ourselves enough. Steve has authored three plays and has treated audiences to his popular "Chimney Fishing" series of humorous stories for years. In August 2019 he contributed two poems and a humorous story, "We Don't Darn Socks", to a collection of stories from Northern Utah writers entitled "Spirals"—available on Amazon. In October 2019 he collected and published on KDP "Heard at a UTAH Diner", an anthology of Utah humor. He could not resist putting five of his own stories in the mix and has committed to a volume II due out in October 2020. The anthology is popular enough that he has committed to publishing a few sister anthologies for surrounding states in the next year. His own collection of Chimney Fishing Tales is due out on Amazon in April 2020. Many of his Chimney Fishing Tales are available on Amazon currently. Steve welcomes friends on social media (Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram) and is available for bookings. His humor is suitable for the entire family and his favorite target is placed firmly on his own back.
