Stuart Rosebrook, Ph.D. is a professional historian, editor, writer and public speaker. He has over 30 years of experience in the media industry, including broadcast news and television production, magazine and book publishing. He is the senior editor for TRUE WEST magazine of Cave Creek, Arizona, managing Western books and the heritage travel departments. He is also the acquisitions editor for Wolfpack Publishing. He has a B.A. in history from Wake Forest University and a M.A. and Ph.D. in history from Arizona State University, with areas of expertise in Public History, the American West and 20th Century American popular culture and media. He is a member of the Western Writers of America, Western History Association, National Council of Public History and the Arizona Historical Society. He is currently serving as vice-president of the Coordinating Committee for History in Arizona, and as a board member of the Arizona History Convention. Stuart grew up in North Hollywood, California, but currently lives with his wife and two children in Iowa City, Iowa. He co-authored, with his father Jeb Rosebrook, JUNIOR BONNER: THE MAKING OF A CLASSIC WITH STEVE MCQUEEN AND SAM PECKINPAH IN THE SUMMER OF 1971; the author of AT WORK IN ARIZONA: THE FIRST 100 YEARS, with curator Marilyn Szabo; editor of the TRUE WEST ULTIMATE TRAVEL GUIDE: YOUR GUIDE TO HISTORY IN THE OLD WEST; and, author of ARIZONA TRAVELER with Edward H. Hunngate. He is also a commentator on the DVD anniversary edition of John Wayne’s TRUE GRIT (2007) and the DVD and Blu-Ray of JUNIOR BONNER (2017). In addition, he has been a contributor to TRUE WEST, ROUND-UP, ARIZONA HIGHWAYS, AMERICAN COWBOY, RANCH & REATA, WESTERN HISTORY QUARTERLY, JOURNAL OF ARIZONA HISTORY, CAMERA & DARKROOM and THE SOCIETY FOR AMERICAN BASEBALL RESEARCH.
