Born in 1953, Susan Glickman grew up in Montreal. She has lived in Toronto since she returned to Canada in 1977 after seven years traveling and studying in the US, the UK, and Greece. Before she became an English professor, her weirdest job was inoculating day-old chickens against chicken pox. A lapsed academic, she now teaches creative writing in the continuing education program of Ryerson University and works as a free-lance editor.
