WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT MY WRITING: Sometimes, I write a story in three hours. Sometimes, it is a collection of ideas over twenty years, before an inspiring moment occurs that allows different ideas to be weaved together to create the story. When the thoughts come to mind, they are jotted down. I may have just experienced an endearing scene, a funny moment, or a heart-breaking one. Whether a simple paragraph or several chapters, each one is important and can be a game changer for a story, yet to be written. Whatever it is, I document that account and save it. I've learned this is a good remedy for writer's block. A bit of trivia: each book, I write, has one character with three names. There is no rhyme or reason. Sometimes, it is to show the progression of the character's, 'character,' but sometimes, it does not. It can be an antagonist or protagonist, a main character or supporting character. ARE MY WRITINGS AN EASY READ OR NOT? 1) Most of my writings are not long. General consensus from those who have read them, are, they are easy reads and quite descriptive. 2) I do not always deal with the easiest of topics. I write the character’s dialogues to have those tough conversations of daily living. WHY DO I WRITE? I learned very early of God’s love and feel this is a form of ministry. My writings are mostly fictional and only intended to start the conversation that can guide people to want to know God and/or to celebrate Him. I enjoy creating the dialogues that get people to think. In a nutshell, my writing is inspired by my Christian faith. DO I HAVE ANY PARTICULAR READING HABITS? My favorite way to read a good book, is curled up by a fire, while enjoying a cup of coffee. DO I HAVE ANY IDIOSYNCRASIES? I have learned that if I start a jigsaw puzzle, I need to finish it. The same is true with a book. This is probably why it is so disappointing for me, when I can’t.
