Tessa du Toit was born in South Africa to parents who both worked in Medical fields. Tessa completed her schooling in South Africa followed by Tertiary studies in Art and Textile design. In her late twenties she and her Husband immigrated to Australia where Tessa sustained injuries from a motor accident that left her with chronic pain and anxiety. After searching for solutions endlessly she discovered the immense power of self hypnosis which enabled her to overcome the debilitating pain and anxiety she had lived with for so many years. Tessa has continued her studies of this fascinating field for more than a decade with the intention of helping others to tap into the subconscious mind and harness this vast natural resource to discover their full potential and live their lives more comfortably. Tessa is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counselor, and Mindfulness/Meditation Facilitator, and often describes herself as a recovered stress head and all-round anxiety ridden indecisive procrastinator. The techniques described in the book "Artfully Calm" have all contributed to her own recovery. Tessa has worked with people experiencing anxiety and stress-related disorders for over a decade. The techniques in this book have been gathered over many years and successfully implemented to assist hundreds of people to reach their full potential and enjoy life in a more comfortable and contented manner.
