Professionally, Tom started his adult life as a doctor. Trained in sports medicine as an orthopedic surgeon, he began his medical career in his hometown of Austin, Texas. Today, he continues to practice medicine because it still gives him joy and purpose. Along the way, Tom decided that he wanted an exceptional life and didn’t believe that a career as a doctor would check all the boxes. He wanted choice, freedom and time with his family. Through a series of events that included hard work, luck, loyal friends, great partners, patient educators and giving mentors, he developed a real estate portfolio that gave him the financial means to determine his ultimate future. With that freedom, Tom travels the world, spends time with his family, works on the health of his mind and body, cares for the US Ski Team, runs a real estate company and tries to help those that wish to follow his path. His mission is to improve the lives of others, freeing them to use their talents to make the world a better place. He is a seasoned real estate professional and, in conjunction with his partners, manages hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate assets for himself and his investors. He is a popular speaker, frequent podcast guest, and a writer for nationally circulated print media. Tom splits his time between Austin and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He enjoys travel to exotic locations and is most comfortable in the wilderness. He spends his time with his wife of 36 years, his two children, and anyone who strives to be a better version of themselves.
