Tracey Blake is a national newspaper journalist, author and entrepreneur. She lives in Buckinghamshire with her two children, Minnie (13) and Monty (10) and her partner James. Plus rescue cat Simba and cockapoo Nova. Tracey realised there was a need for a book about early communication when her great friend and speech therapist Nicola told her she'd had 'a wonderful conversation' with her then 10-week-old baby Minnie. The pair ended up live on BBC Breakfast TV talking about the first edition of Small Talk. They went on to release two speech-boosting story books. Then, when the pandemic resulted in a huge rise in speech delay, they realised that worried parents needed support and help so they re-wrote and updated the book - now called What To Do When Your Child Isn't Talking.
