Lars Tvede (www.larstvede.com) is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist. As a youngster, he founded two companies while simultaneously completing two studies; one as M.Sc. of engineering and the other as a bachelor of international commerce. He is also a certified derivatives trader. Lars spent 11 years in portfolio management and investment banking before moving to the high-tech and telecommunications industries in the mid 1990s, where he has been co-founder of several technology companies, which have won several international awards, including the Red Herring Global 100 award, the Bully Award, the IMD Swiss startup Award and Wall Street Europe Innovation Award. He is also the founder of Beluga, a successful financial trading company. In 2016, he co-founded the venture capital fund Nordic Eye, which in its first full year (2017) generated 203% IRR and distributed more than total investor commitments to its investors. He is also co-founder of Berlin Investment Company AG and Supertrends AG. He was listed in The Guru Guide to Marketing as one of the Worlds 62 leading thinkers of marketing strategy and has received the Adam Smith Award from Libertas. Lars Tvede lives in Zug, Switzerland. His hobbies include skiing, sailing and collecting Italian sports cars and wine. He has appeared frequently on media and has been a TEDTalks speaker.
