This year we wanted to reserve space to recognize new releases in consistently outstanding series. Whether two or 20 titles in, these are the series that just keep delivering on story and performance. Some feature longtime narrators, some mix it up with new voices for each new shift in perspective; some are complete, while some show no signs of slowing down. But each has one thing in common: They keep us coming back for more.

Cerulean Chronicles, Book 2
The House in the Cerulean Sea was such a rare, precious gem of a novel, we dared not hope for a sequel. But TJ Klune and Daniel Henning manage to re-create the magic.

This story, this setting, this cast: All come together in harmony to make each season of this Original series better than the last.
Romance
The DuBells, Book 3

The third installment in the TikTok-sensation Maple Hills series follows Henry Turner, an ice hockey team captain falling for his art history tutor. Each title has featured new narrators, and each has left listeners swooning and pining for more.
Mysteries & Thrillers
The Housemaid, Book 3
The Housemaid stories are so consistently good and twisty that pausing is not an option. Lauryn Allman captures the good and the bad in each character in a most amazing way.
Mistletoe Murders, Book 3
Cobie Smulders and Raymond Ablack sparkle as bright as ever in the third installment of this cozy holiday mystery series, which inspired a TV adaptation that recently premiered on Hallmark+.
Royal Spyness, Book 18

It's hard to believe we're already at 18 installments, and we've devoured each like a decadent treat.
Kids
The Mystwick School of Musicraft, Book 3
Time travel, orchestral music and a confident young heroine. A captivating listen for the whole family – or just your inner child.

Jeff Kinney manages to make each Wimpy Kid story more relatable (and hilarious) than the last, and Ramón de Ocampo's bright and peppy performances always nail the humour and heart.
Finally Seen, Book 2
Kelly Yang has an almost uncanny ability to capture tween listeners, and this series — tackling social media literacy — feels like her most important contribution to middle-grade fiction to date.
