À propos de cet audio
When I went to my neighbor's apartment to investigate strange sounds, I never expected to fall through a portal into another world. Yet here I am, a stranger in an even stranger land...and I'm stranded. In this world, might makes right, men carry swords, and gods walk the earth. Within minutes of arriving, I'm enslaved.
The one person that might be able to help me is also the one person I want to throttle most. Aron, Lord of Storms, Butcher God of Battle, is my new companion. Or rather, I'm his. As Aron's anchor to the mortal realm, I'm the one that's supposed to be guiding him through his exile in the mortal world.
But Aron and I have a common goal - get home. And we're bonded - anchor and god - with a bond unlike any other. So, we travel together. We bicker. We bathe together. We fight our many, many enemies together. And sure, he's a god, but he's also an arrogant jerk. Brawny, smoking hot, irresistible jerk. I should want nothing to do with him. I certainly shouldn't want to do things to him.
Contains mature themes.

Queen of the puns
I know some reviewers have classified this heroine as stupid and silly but I whole heartedly disagree! The heroine is absolutely hilarious and Queen of the Puns and one liners. She is smart and a true survivor in an impossible situation. Ruby has created an original diverse world where literally anything can happen and does, it is so entertaining to listen to the narrator who does a fantastic job! The battle god is awesome, just what you would expect, all gruff, tough, and blood thirst oh and I can’t forget super arrogant. Do not pass this one up it’s a keeper well worth the credit!

surprisingly good
okay so I like most of Ruby Dixon books and I got this one because I've like the last batch so I was like why not.
in all seriousness this is actually a really good time I like this book a great deal I'm definitely going to listen to it again the narrator does a great job reading through and giving you a good set of tones invoices to go with the characters.
one thing that I wasn't sure about until pathway through is the heroine she's a little stupid at times but what I like is her stupidity is not a reflection of the reader.
so what I mean by this is there's a point where you're dealing with a character of lies and the heroin isn't grasping the concept well but all of the other characters around her do so which just stated explained and laid out there and she's confused but at no point is the story written so that you should be realizing this in time with the character which I really like.
Dick's and created a unique and fun parallel world and the way she plays with the concepts of God's walking on the Earth is really fun I wish the character stayed as arrogant as he should be but all in all it's a cute story.
I definitely recommend this I liked it.

Good, but too long
This book is long, probably too long, but while not being the best, it is still entertaining, with a funny MC and smut.
Faith Gordon is a boring, ordinary woman working in an insurance firm. She is used to being a wallflower, and while she is not thrilled with her job or her romantic life, she is even less thrilled when she ends up portaled into a medievalesque realm, where women are still treated like objects and people have very weird religious rituals. Things get even more complicated for her when she ends up having to become the Anchor to a God to save her life and is now saddled up with a grumpy, arrogant God who thinks she should be honored and happy to serve him in every way he asks and deserves.
I really liked the concept of the Gods and Goddesses being split into Aspects, and having to fight each other. It is an original approach, and it created some interesting situations throughout the book.
The book is long though, probably too long. Many parts could have been edited, and shortened, and it would have made a story with a better flow to it. Some of Faith’s inner monologues got pretty repetitive near the middle of the book, and I just got tired of reading about or listening to her wondering how she truly felt about Aron, or what to do about those feelings. I understand the confusion, but I don’t need to read about it every other page.

Gets better
I was tempted to give this one up several times during the first part of this book, partly due to the story and partly due to the narration. I persevered and it did get better, but I am still not convinced it was worth my time. Overall mediocre.

So long & boring 😴
Geez I usually really like her books I’ve read maybe 25 of them, but this book was just so long and boring it easily could of been half the size or even 1/4 😆
I honestly wasn’t sure if I could get through this book I had zero motivation, but I kept hoping it would get better.
A human woman ends up in a different world where God is upset with his children so he split them apart into 4 versions of themselves that they have to kill so that only 1 remains.
Apparently that’s to help them purge themselves of their vices.
Yet they need a human anchor to that world that has to eat & sleep first them.
The female protagonist offers herself to the arrogant version of the god of war & storms. The book is a slow burn for the first 80%.
Even though he is the arrogant version of himself so literally it’s in his nature, he’s just such a boring ass I really couldn’t stand him. The female protagonist was boring also.
In the end there’s lots of travelling & fighting then a sacrifice & they live happily ever after 🤦♀️

Too long and repetitive
Not for me, half way through it becomes very repetitive and the navel gazing is borderline annoying. However the story is kind of original. Started skipping chapters two thirds in and was disappointed with the end. But hey, it may not be for me but maybe you'll like it.
