CJ what a debut!!! Where the hell I’m even going to start with this book?!First I would like to say this isn’t a five star is more God tier more ! Second, man is anyone in this book not sexy and attractive ?? Please pour some ice on me, the spice is … out of this world! Ok let’s get back to seriousness, we start with an absolutely delicious menu of TW and tropes. As a mental health professional, CJ was extremely careful with mentioning anything that could be a trigger. The character development in this book is absolutely amazing, you will fall in love even with side characters, not only with main characters. Alaina, our FMC, is a brat, with a insecurities, and trying to push people away to make sure they won’t leave. Dax, the MMC, is a tormented King that is so in touch with his emotions, an absolute delight and a great brat tamer in more ways then one! FYI: there is a cliffhanger in the first part.
Audiobook: OMG they killed it! Andi is a superstar, the voices, the accents and the performance everything chef kiss!! Andi has for sure made her way into my God tier narrators, listen and love! Joe I don’t know where to start he is a God, I can’t see Dax as anyone else then him and I can’t explain you but Joe unhinged is probably the perfect way to unleash a performer!

My favorite narrator !
Werewolf books are jot normally my thing but I had to listen because of Joe ! He just does the unhinged mc voice perfectly !!

Cringy, Rushed and Unoriginal
I was excited to listen because of the great reviews and Joe Arden is top tier. This book was so predictable and rushed that it had me physically cringing. It's like the author snatched up bits and pieces from other subpar fantasy romances and sprinkled some smut in for dramatic effect- Like Twilight met 50 Shades. It had so much potential but it went down like a avalanche only a few chapters in.
