À propos de cet audio
Liberally laced with sex, violence, nostalgia and good humor, this fast-paced and easy-to-listen-to sequel to Three for the Money is a mystery/adventure set in 1950. It's a satire of the period with a hint of documentary reality.
Our three millionaires, Anthony James, Tommy Sanderson, and Steve Hughs, take on a fourth partner. Cal Peters flew in the same R.A.F. squadron with Tony during the war.
Tony suffers from boredom while flying to L.A. because everything's too easy. Cal welcomes them with a spectacular C46-A and a gorgeous female flight crew. After business with Warner Bros., there's a shakedown cruise to sunny Acapulco, and then it's on to Las Vegas. Tommy is jailed for casino mayhem after being cheated at blackjack. They decide to get back at the mob by opening their own casino/hotel.
Our heroes have a choice: they can forget their plans or get involved in a huge counterfeit scam.
Accountant Brother Joe is kidnapped by the big man and his bizarre rescue by the grey man unfolds another facet to the scam. The President is to be assassinated. Is it another of our country’s enemy states or a very powerful megalomaniac?
Tony meets the beautiful Katrina Nordstrom at a Hollywood premier party. They play games together. There follows a gruesome murder of an old friend and a partial clue to the scam, written in the victim's blood. Tony attempts a coup and in its course, Katrina is kidnapped by the big man. There's a duel in the desert, capture and finally, escape and satisfaction. The convoluted conclusion has unexpected twists. A great listen to shorten that long, boring trip.
