It is the 27th century, and humanity has rallied under the flag of the United Nations in order to join the Coalition, a multi-species alliance working together to defend their borders from hostile alien races. The Pinwheel is the largest and most strategically important military space station in human territory, a place where humans and their allies rub shoulders, living and working in close proximity. Tempers fly and passions inflame as disparate cultures are forced together, all while an interstellar conflict rages around them.
When Stanley drops out of agricultural college to join the Navy, he's shipped off to the Pinwheel to complete his training as a UNN Marine. There, he meets Raz, an unruly alien who seems more concerned with her own status than making friends with the other recruits. She's big, tough, and more than a little scary, but he'll have to find a way to befriend her if he wants to complete the program.
A science fiction action romance, with narration by Bordeaux Black.

Simple and Strat forward but a good sic-fi romanic
This story is easy to digest. The way that this story stands out from other romantic/erotic works of science fiction is that the MC is not the meat brain hulk and he wins all the time. Another big plus is are bonding moments between the MC and leading lady, yes their hot and very well written but the big selling point are the words that most often use to describes the body parts during a intimate scenes of love making are not the drab over used Rooster and Cat (think dirty), These scene have more feeling and passion then mechanical poses (interpret that how you will) that are abundant in other books.
Negatives.
The speed of the narration was a hair too quick. their could have been pauses between transitions. Like the start of a chapter and the movement of time where the MC is in one location and then cut to the next part of the chapter with to short an audio gap.
Positives.
The discerptions of the aliens are short but clear and reinforced often thought out the story so the listener know who and what are where during certain action scenes.

if you like Dominate strong women
Dominant Female Love interest. I personally don't like this kind of "Sexy Times" but it is well written and story is solid. it's easy to picture the event's in the book. the voice acting is good and the smoky voice is smooth and makes it easy to tell the difference between characters. overall positive experience.

Wonderful story and reader
Way more detailed than I expected and loved every second of it. Bordeaux is also wonderful to hear.

The love interest...
The book itself was quite nice but in the first half of the book, the main love interest was very unlikable.

Just came from widows welcome and was not disappointed here
Guy and Black do it again in an adventurous and cozy self contained story. Snek guy has mastered the art of brevity, and gives the reader exactly what they want. No boring three act slog for the spicey scenes, no empty cliff hanger to squeeze your credits out. He gives exactly what is offered and more, and Black adds her smokey narrative spice to make it all come alive. support the author here and on his free website, you won't be disappointed, If you like giant muscle mommies that is.
