The best f'n performance EVER!
I already loved these narrators! But these awesome voice actors PLUS the sometimes silliness and intensity of these characters is phenomenal!
The commitment these narrators have for their work is so good it probably made me blush (if anyone were around to see it).
This book may be as good as Pack Darling which I have read 3 or 4 times since purchase. Yes, I reread/relistened to them that many times while being fully present the first few times I got to know the characters.
I reread Pack Darling immediately before starting Redfang Royal, but I should have left a little more time between the books. NOT because I had any trouble imagine the different characters even though they have the same narrators, on the contrary. It was actually really nice hearing the spot-on Wyvern pack voices that I was/am so attached to come back so smoothly in this new story. And Meadows pack have uniquely different voices - their OWN voices.
Lilah and Sol felt like different people to me, even listening to the same narrator back to back. Quite likely because the inner thoughts were structured a little different and the descriptions/comparisons had a different feel. (Lola Rock is such a good author!)
Should have given it some time because, as mentioned in the description, this COULD be a stand-alone novel that makes sense without reading Pack Darling. But due to how familiar I am with the Wyvern pack who feel like friends to me I was anxious to *get to see them again*, so to speak. They don't come into play until deep into the story. Could have focused on Sol a little more if I wasn't thinking of Lilah.
