I think this may be the best start to any book I’ve ever listened to! Honestly how can you not like Sorel after her wedding vows and running out on her own wedding. Honestly I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but it was so good! I immediately started cheering for her because that was badass.

And in walks Mason, the younger, former teammate of her ex-fiancé, who offers her an escape in the form of a trip to Vegas.

In this case, what happens in Vegas certainly doesn’t stay in Vegas. And a night of drinking leads to two friends getting married to spite her ex-fiancé. As a doctor who always does the right thing, taking drunken selfies as a newlywed and sending them to her ex was a bad decision. Especially when they get leaked. Sorel and Mason have no choice but to continue the ruse to avoid further scandal. The plan is to live together for 3 months before discussing an annulment. The plan is to stay in the friends zone until time is up and everyone has moved on. Everyone starts moving on, only the rules of being friends only get blurred through many hot encounters, and then there is the shock of the routine pregnancy test at the hospital coming up positive.

I loved watching Sorel start standing up for herself and realizing she is worth more than her ex let her believe. I’m all for a woman gaining her confidence and becoming her true self. And Mason was the perfect guy. He was absolutely obsessed with his woman and was not afraid to show it.

The narrators did such a great job bringing these characters to life. I really enjoyed this audiobook!
