Love this series but.....
I've enjoyed this series so far, I've enjoyed the different authors each doing one of the powerful families. It's a great idea. This one fell flat for me. I feel like the first 2.5 hours could have been eliminated. It was weird to go from a immature, overly sheleterd high school child talking about boys and Chapstick to dark mafia stuff. It just wasn't cohesive. I wish it started when Val goes straight to the guys and then maybe have mentions of the past to bring in the important info. I almost didn't finish it because the first 3 hours dragged for me. I sped up the audio book and the rest of the book was much better. I wish more was at the end then the beginning as It all seemed to be so quick at the end of them falling in love. Would have loved to hear more about them all together. This is just my 2 cents tho so take as you like. Absolutely always love Aaron Shedlock performing. He's fantastic and was great in this one!

Triggers!!
I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt the need to share. I liked the rest of the series, but this book is terrible Three grown men abuse and dehumanize a girl who’s little more than a child. There is no way to listen to this without feeling nauseous The men are creeps. Nothing sexy about it. Ick.
