These characters are just great. Vincent is a walking red flag and I am here for it. He's possessive and over the top and hunky, and add in being a single dad and hnnnng I want to eat him up. It was so nice to see him open up to Sasha over time when it's clear it's not something he's used to. Sasha is so good with Annie and I just melt whenever those two have scenes together. She also has no problem standing up for herself and putting Vincent in place. She's a strong female character and we love to see it.

The narrators did a great job with this title. Mason Lloyd had a great voice that suited Vincent. Strong and deep and easy to listen to. His performance was expressive and I had no trouble believing he was Vincent. Michelle Sparks was equally amazing, perfect for the badass Sasha. Her voice suited the character and her performance was great. This was performed in dual, so they both voiced male, female, and children's voices, and did a great job of that too.

SJT, Mason Lloyd, and Michelle Sparks, I'd also just like you to know that you made me cry ugly tears and I'll never forgive you for this.

The MMCs are hunky and flawed and I loved watching them discover Briar's true nature for themselves. Briar is a complex character, and I wanted to scream at the injustices she suffered at times. So glad to see her get a HEA.

I love LG's approach to the RH trope here. We have the guys who are up for a romp, and the guy who is reluctant. It makes things interesting. I also loved the forced proximity of being protected by her bodyguards, so delicious. At times I felt a little exasperated with choices the characters made, but I can mostly understand why they would make them.

I have no idea how Will Watt managed to voice so many accents in one book, but I am impressed and here for it. His voice is warm and expressive and extremely easy to listen to. His Scottish accent was positively delicious. A+, Will Watt.

I'm not sure I envisioned Carmen Rose's voice when I first read this ebook. That's not to say she did a bad job. She certainly nails the frosty, posh vibe of an infamous star actress, but to me her voice felt like it would lend itself better to a character a little older perhaps. Everyone has their own opinion, of course. Nevertheless, her performance was expressive and I could see it all play out in my head.

This time around we have broody Beau, the recovering special forces military man who is struggling and failing to keep his usual happy go lucky mask in place, and bartender Bailey, the town pariah struggling to distance herself from her deadbeat family that everyone hates. Beau befriends Bailey, and they get into a fake fiance situation with the hope of shifting the town's opinion of her.

I just love this trope, it is never not fun for me. The way Bailey quietly cares for Beau and his ongoing struggles as a new civilian is just heart melting, and watching her discover what it's like to finally have someone care about her just takes that melty heart and twists it all up. Somewhere, Elsie Silver is cackling and rubbing her hands together in glee at the emotional turmoil she causes and I'm here for it (with tears streaming down my face).

Jason Clarke is such a versatile actor. His voice for Beau is so gravelly and deep, and the first time he abruptly switches to light and bubbly to portray a friendly female voice my mouth dropped. I was not expecting that whiplash and I was left impressed and wondering how people can be so talented.

Angelina Rocca is equally talented and did such an amazing job portraying the firey Bailey with absolutely no filter. Her voice is sultry and soothing and just so easy to listen to. The emotion she puts into her performance gets me right in the feels.

We learned to dislike Winter from previous books and I was fully expecting to hate her, and therefore this book, but I was brought along for the ride along with the rest of the characters who finally get to see Winter for who she truly is. Winter was surprisingly likeable despite her prickly, distrusting nature, and I felt heartbroken for all that she had gone through. Theo was just so swoon-worthy and a good match for our troubled heroine.

These are two of my favourite narrators so I am familiar with their previous work and they continue to knock it out of the park. Joe, as usual, gives an emotional, smoldering, and sometimes light-hearted performance that matches Theo's nature perfectly. Savannah is able to capture Winter's frosty tone one minute, and melt into something warm and romantic the next.

I really liked the first book and sequels are hard to live up to the hype usually, but I unexpectedly enjoyed the second book even more.

Willa was just so charming with Luke, and her patience with his grumpy dad melted my heart. I absolutely loved how crazy she was, and can absolutely see how Cade compared her to a hurricane. She was a bright spot of fun and cheer that Cade desperately needed in his life.

Cade is the grumpy single dad with the world on his shoulders and I just adored him. He's a total jerk at times, but it made it that much more satisfying to watch him soften for Willa over time. His work ethic and the care and dedication to those he loves makes him absolutely impossible not to love.

The performances were great and really enjoyed them. This book was performed dual.

Stephen Dexter's voice was deep and serious, perfect for surly Cade. He was expressive and I thought the occasional small throar clears and laughs made it feel even more real. His female voice isn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. I also noticed about half way in that he often does a sort of sulky sigh at the end of his sentences, which I guess is fitting for the moody character but I couldn't unhear it once I noticed it hahaha!

This is my first time hearing Vanessa Edwin, and she has a new fan. I loved her performance and I thought she was perfect for hurricane Willa. Her men's and children's voice was great as well, and I enjoyed every bit of it.

These characters were hard not to love. I absolutely loved that summer was a ball buster and could hold her own in the face of other strong personalities. Rhett was swooney and hunky and an absolute grump, which I just love hahaha! They both had such wonderful personal growth as the book progressed and I found myself cheering for them.

The performances were also done incredibly well. I am familiar with Sebastian York's work, and he does a fabulous job as usual. His voice was growly and mature and, in my opinion, fit the character well. He was expressive and painted a clear picture in my head. He is also one of the few male narrators that can do a female voice that doesn't make me cringe a little.

This was my first title with this female narrator and I thought she did brilliantly. Her performance was also expressive and I feel like she easily convinced me she's a woman in her early 20s. I will be checking out more titles from this narrator.

Amazing job all around, can't wait to read the next one.
