Disappointing

I kept thinking ..have I got the right book ? Is this a John Grisham book?
Not his usual style , not engaging .. some points I kept looking for the “why” like why did he talk about the death row client … how was that related to the story …. So many other things that seemed to be left hanging … I don’t know maybe I missed the point ? … my fav author .. hopefully this is a one off .
