I listened start-to-finish, and I am glad that Vivek has shared their voice, age enriched our community. A small amount of her voice does resonate meaningfully with me, but I can't find myself drawn to her story the same way as I do with other memoirs from trans women.
Stories of transgender people need to be shared and I am so happy that I can find stories from people whose experiences appear so similar to mine on the surface, but find very little common ground in the details.
This is a story worth listening to, even if it does not take hold of you like it did not with me, but please also read beyond this story.
