Well, everyone finds out your secret, you get banished from society, and then you learn.

I didn't dislike it but the overall story felt a bit rushed and like it was missing something. Although enjoyable enough, I was hoping for more.

If you enjoy that anime, you'll probably like this book. I'm not big on monster smut but Orpheus, that adorable (and appearly sexy) cinnamon roll won me over... Bought this out of boredom and curiosity, and now I'm forever changed. Seriously Opal, what have you done?

Not my cup of tea

I stumbled upon this after reading and enjoying Haunting Adeline but sadly, between not liking the couple, along with my inner feminist constantly being pissed off (something I usually throw out the window when reading this genre), I found myself unable to properly enjoy this book. Maybe it's partially because I'm not a pain girly, or maybe it's because I prefer my female lead to be a least a little more than a sex object (no kink shaming here, if you like that kind of thing, this book could be right up your dark smutty alley)... But I also found there was a lacking in any heart warming / relationship building moments. Which made it hard for me to feel any sense of chemistry / love between two characters who were apparently "mad" for one another.
Long story short, I disliked it.
Honestly, I only finished it because I like Teddy Hamilton's voice so much.
