Histoire
A young man wanting to explore past-life regression discovers this is his first lifetime on Earth. All his other existences were on alien worlds and in other dimensions. As this unique case is explored further, he finds out that his association with extraterrestrials did not cease with these other lives. The interaction with UFOs and aliens has continued during all his present life, although the information was protectively hidden by his subconscious.

Very bad narration
Évalué le: 2023-07-15
I listen to a lot of audio books. I am fascinated with Dolores Cannon and absolutely love her books. But for some reason a lot of her books are narrated by individuals that are awful. This one is no exception. The tone of her voice isn't bad but she over enunciates throughout the book making her sound robotic. Its so unfortunate.

Histoire
Working with thousands of patients, Dr. Gundry has discovered that the “diseases of aging” we most fear are not simply a function of age; rather, they are a byproduct of the way we have lived over the decades. In The Longevity Paradox, he maps out a new approach to aging well - one that is based on supporting the health of the “oldest” parts of us: the microorganisms that live within our bodies.

Left doubting this is the truth
Évalué le: 2022-08-17
Dr. Gundry's theories are interesting. I enjoyed hearing his take on the subject of aging healthfully. But, after learning the outrageous prices for his products (ie, approx. $150 for a litre of olive oil), I suspect the whole program is ultimately about money and not health and wellness. None the less I'm glad I read it to curb my curiosity.

Histoire
With ribald humor, wit, and incredible insight, Alan seamlessly moves back and forth in time, integrating stories from his childhood in Scotland and his experiences today as the celebrated actor of film, television, and stage. At times suspenseful, at times deeply moving, but always incredibly brave and honest, Not My Father's Son is a powerful story of embracing the best aspects of the past and triumphantly pushing the darkness aside.

It left a bad taste
Évalué le: 2021-10-09
There were parts of this book that were worth reading. The author endured things as a child that were unspeakable; things no child should ever have to endure.
I was entertained, which I believe was one of the objectives the author was trying to achieve.
Although I felt great empathy for the child, I felt zero empathy for the adult. He was/is not a likeable character. I suppose "character" is the wrong word because he is a real person. But he comes across as a character playing a part, the part of an obnoxious alcoholic so full of himself that I'm left with the impression he is extremely selfish. But then, most people that were abused that way as a child DO end up being selfish adults. Not an appealing human characteristic.
If I felt more authenticity by the author I would feel more for the adult, Alan, and I would have enjoyed the book much more.

Great book

I have listened to many of Dolores' books. I passed by this one many times because I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as some of her others. But it turns out it is my favourite!

Amazing
Évalué le: 2021-04-26
The content of this book is wonderful. Rhonda explains complex ideas in easy to understand language. I love all the different voices from all the different contributors. That was just amazing. The only reason i didn't give the book 5 stars was because of the constant background music. I found it was a little distracting and it took away from the narration. But that was just my opinion. Others might love it.
This book is helping me go forward on my next leg of spiritual progress <3

The Narrators voice spoils the book
Évalué le: 2021-01-27
I've listened to quite a few audio books. Some voices are more pleasant than others, this is to be expected. But the woman's voice narrating this particular book caused me to stop listening for a while and move on to something else. Its a shame because the content is very interesting and enjoyable.
EDIT: So I was forced to give up listening with almost three hours left. I just couldn't tolerate it enough to finish the book. Apparently Convoluted Universe Book Four has the same narrator so I won't be able to purchase it. Very disappointed :(
