Three points:

1. Some parts of this book are very very very similar to the first Honor Harrington book by David Weber. Plot point for plot point. Some characters have almost word for word identical interactions as in Basilisk Station. I probably wouldn't have noticed, but I just recently started the Honor Harrington series, so it really stood out. It was disconcerting at times. The similarities (identicalities needs to be a word for situations like this) were so strong that I can't imagine a scenario where it was done by accident.

2. This narrator is... not good. He reads the words, but obviously isn't paying attention to what he's reading. He ackwardly breaks up phases, and reads nearly everything monotone. Honestly it's like listening to one of the better (as of 2023 at least) AI narrators. The words are mostly pronounced correctly, but they're not quite read in context.

3. Other than that, pretty good short book.
