Great ending

A performance can make or break it for me, and this narration was a very enjoyable listen.
Also, I really enjoyed the multi-dimensions of the main character and the plot.
I have been listening to this genre for sometime and the conclusion is not formulaic; the first unpredictable conclusion for me in quite a while!
Definitely worth a listen.

Histoire
As the only Black student at her ballet academy, Naomi Morgan knows her feelings of isolation and artistic sacrifice are the price she has to pay in order to win the Youth American Grand Prix, the country’s most prestigious dance competition. Winning means access to a spot in a top ballet school and, ultimately, a place with the New York City Ballet. Nothing else matters. But when Naomi’s dance instructor assigns her Odette’s variation from Swan Lake, Naomi’s world begins to fall apart. She doesn’t think she can dance the part.

Not only a good voice performance, the plot was interesting and not predictable. Realistic relationships between mother and a teen daughter trying to find her place in the world resonated with me.

Histoire
Margot and James are broken up—for good this time. James made sure of it when he dropped the bomb on Margot: that he doesn’t want kids, ever. Then, on the biggest morning of his life, James—an ambitious lawyer at a high-powered firm—wakes up pregnant. He realizes with dread that he is part of a recent epidemic of men suddenly and inexplicably becoming pregnant. His condition obvious to the higher-ups, James is denied the promotion he was expecting, sending him reeling.

I loved this! Too bad it's fiction. I would hope this pt of view would influence some ideas about abortion but I am a realist, and sad for the fortune of pregnant women in the US

A simple and predictable story. Both narrators are robotic. The female is Suri-ish and the male's non-emotional character is reinforced by a consistently monotone voice. I can't believe I listened to the entire thing. I kept waiting for them to sound more human.

Histoire
A perfect next listen for fans of Abbi Waxman and Katherine Center, Can't Take It Back is a fast-paced and relatable debut telling the interconnected stories of four women over the course of a kindergarten school year. Huddled on their favorite park bench in a quiet Seattle suburb, Holly, Avery, Zoe, and Sasha might look like they've got it all figured out - but there’s more to their stories than meets the eye.

Histoire
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this after reading some of the reviews but I couldn't put it down.
The multiple narrators added some texture to the story, giving the characters more depth. The plot was interesting and well paced. Worth a listen.

Meet Eleanor Oliphant: She struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she's thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions, where weekends are punctuated by frozen pizza, vodka, and phone chats with Mummy.
