Histoire
A groundbreaking book about personal growth that presents a uniquely effective set of five tools that bring about dynamic change. The Tools offers a solution to the biggest complaint patients have about therapy: the interminable wait for change to begin. The traditional therapeutic model sets its sights on the past, but Phil Stutz and Barry Michels employ an arsenal of techniques - "the tools" - that allow patients to use their problems as levers that access the power of the unconscious and propel them into action.

Stuck in stagnate stage for almost five years now, come to think of it, my whole life I’ve been waiting for it all to come easy, have me taken care of. After listening to these two I feel the urgency to change my perspective and my actions in order to be connected to higher forces, feel the flow, be truly happy and make a contribution to my family and society. I really hope to take this further and do the work that’s needed. That is all this book asks of you as an individual, and it is inspiring.

Histoire
In the span of four months in 2012, Tig Notaro was hospitalized for a debilitating intestinal disease called C. diff, her mother unexpectedly died, she went through a breakup, and then she was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. Hit with this devastating barrage, Tig took her grief onstage. Days after receiving her cancer diagnosis, she broke new comedic ground, opening an unvarnished set with the words, "Good evening. Hello. I have cancer. How are you? Hi, how are you? Is everybody having a good time? I have cancer."

Insightful and inspiring story
Évalué le: 2022-12-22
I’m in awe of Tig as I’ve come to know her story and struggles. She has come through on the other side of them strong, confident and fully pursuing her development in her career of passion and her thriving family and friendships. She is an inspiration to me and I am truly grateful for her detailed account of her journey for others to hear, laugh, cry and then take on a journey of their own.
