Histoire
In Come as You Are, Emily Nagoski, PhD, revolutionized the way we think about women’s sexuality. Now, in Come Together, Nagoski takes on a fundamentally misunderstood subject: sex in long-term relationships. Most of us struggle at some point to maintain a sexual connection with our partner/s or spouse. And many of us are given not-very-good advice on what to do about it.

Absolutely helpful and I hope the author’s message reaches many ears.

After being raised with so many harmful messages it I great to hear someone with expertise and experience helping couples in long term relationships. I don’t think it will be easy in my case but I hope I can reflect on what I heard and find greater pleasure and create better contexts in my long term relationship. I really appreciate how inclusive the book (same parts but organized differently) and the effort at revealing the gender mirage.

Histoire
For much of the 20th and 21st centuries, women’s sexuality was an uncharted territory in science, studied far less frequently - and far less seriously - than its male counterpart. That is, until Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are, which used groundbreaking science and research to prove that the most important factor in creating and sustaining a sex life filled with confidence and joy is not what the parts are or how they’re organized but how you feel about them.

Amazing counter to so much wrongness I’ve heard and believed.

I am so amazed at how carefully the author put forth their ideas to help all kinds of listeners understand their bodies and their brains. She cares so much to teach and use science to get rid of the myths around sex that cause so much problems in life. I hope you listen to this book.

Histoire
In Unmasking Autism, Dr. Devon Price shares their personal experience with masking and blends history, social science research, prescriptions, and personal profiles to tell a story of neurodivergence that has thus far been dominated by those on the outside looking in. For Dr. Price and many others, Autism is a deep source of uniqueness and beauty. Unfortunately, living in a neurotypical world means it can also be a source of incredible alienation and pain.

Heartfelt message and story

Thank you so much for writing this and sharing about your own personal experiences. I was able to listen to this and reflect about my own life. Your story also parallels many of the experiences of my trans teen and after they heard some of what you say their reaction was “He gets it!”. I hope that you can continue encouraging others in being their true selves and working towards a more inclusive society.

Histoire
The people we love and those who raised us live inside us; we experience their emotional pain, we dream their memories, and these things shape our lives in ways we don’t always recognize. Emotional Inheritance is about family secrets that keep us from living to our full potential, create gaps between what we want for ourselves and what we are able to have, and haunt us like ghosts.

What a great listen!

Having the author narrate these experiences adds a lot of emotional depth and connection to how we are changed by the past and relationships. One of the easiest audio books to listen to and hopes to give you insight into what might be happening in your own and others lives.
