I couldn’t stop listening !
The characters were well developed and the narration was wonderful. The story was unique and the setting beautifully described . Catherine Steadman does it again!

I couldn’t stop listening. All the narrators were amazing. I felt as if I was watching a play it was so easy to visualize. I highly recommend this listen for all those who love the thriller/suspense genre.

This is not one of Lisa Jewell’s thrillers but it is a good story, full of entertaining and sympathetic characters. I would recommend this as a light and easy read.

This was my least favourite book in the trilogy. I was hoping the time period of of the Second World War would inspire some rich historical drama. Not so. There was barely a nod to history, instead the reader must suffer through the continuing and tedious romance between Jack an Kitty. I also felt that characters had complete personality changes simply in order to wrap up a plot line. Not worth reading.

I really enjoyed this. The characters were great and all the dialogue was well performed. Though it explored some serious issues like colonialism and racism, there was also lots of humour. I also learned a lot about the Belgian Congo!
