Love the light series! Accents could use work

I love this series for light listening and cozy mystery. The narration has always been great, but I have to say that her Mexican and Spanish accents need work! They both sound Romanian or perfectly Transylvanian to me!

Bad "Sound Quality" reviews a misnomer

Very obvious the change in presentation denotes a footnote or sidebar, or in specific cases the voice of Death. Do I think this could have been accomplished in a better way? Sure. But if you pick up a physical copy of any Pratchett book this is his writing style - footnotes and sidebars. Also, this recording is 12 years old. So take that as you will. The story is a silly open-ended adventure ramble that took awhile to get into, but once you accept that there is really no specific plot drive other than a character who just generally wants to have adventures - it's fun. Lots of eyerolling misadventures. Enjoy!

Anticlimactic, always waiting

I struggled to finish this book. The reading itself was lovely, but the story seemed to drone on and on. The premise of the story is really interesting, and the character development was engaging which kept me hanging on, just waiting, thinking "it's got to pick up!". It really never did. The jumping around of the timeline back and forth and side to side eventually became quite tedious. By halfway, I just wanted it to be over. It was really too bad as the story had a lot of promise but was left wanting.
