Well read but no groundbreaking revelations on linguistics. You already know all this, but it’s fairly short and can bring forgotten speach patterns to the forefront of your thoughts.

Well narrated but terrible content. This book is pure speculation about the subject matter and offer no scientific basis that you’d expect from an expert in the field to support the vast array of ‘what if’ ideas that were put forth. Furthermore, it mostly states the obvious making it especially painful to listen to. Don’t waste your time and patience on this book.
