Gut wrenching and eye opening

The narrator is excellent. He nails the sarcasm perfectly.
This book, is by far one of the most powerful examples of what corruption and misery will befall those who do not resist tyranny.
Every person who exists in the freedom of a democratic, capitalist society needs to understand that democracy and freedom can easily be taken away under the guise of the common good.
This book makes the WWII holocaust look like merely an appetizer for the secret main course that devoured Russia.

I had to go back several time at the beginning to really grasp the time transition, but once I got through the first part, I was hooked. Unnerving at times, the story and the discomfort I felt while listening, stayed with me through the day and beckoned me to return and listen more.. Compelling and mind blowing

It is a great story, I didn't love so much some of the voices from the narrator, but that's just a personal opinion. Lots of salient points to ponder throughout the story.

Great entertainment

It was definitely a great story, as far as twists and turns. The narrator occasionally can be a bit grating, but overall does a decent job of assigning voices to the characters.
