Weaving insights from philosophy, neuroscience, and history into a rich narrative, The Shallows explains how the internet is rerouting our neural pathways, replacing the subtle mind of the book reader with the distracted mind of the screen watcher. A gripping story of human transformation played out against a backdrop of technological upheaval, The Shallows will forever alter the way we think about media and our minds.

I have found this book eye opening an absolutely astounding. It is life changing. Every high school student should read this book to learn about brain function, how today's mass online media curates unintelligent zombie mobs of distracted persons, and how to attain good habits to achieve deep mindful thinking and processing.

Is Earth merely an insignificant speck in a vast and meaningless universe? On the contrary: The Privileged Planet shows that this cherished assumption of materialism is dead wrong. In this provocative book, Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay W. Richards present a staggering array of evidence that exposes the hollowness of this modern dogma.

Repetitive

I was very excited and interested in what this book had to offer but the combination of the narrator and the books repetitive method of enforcing its point made it extremely hard to get through. After being halfway done I gave up. I believe a more concise narrative could have been achieved to deliver the content without losing any value.
