Histoire
Quillon Drask is a haunted man, wrestling with the daemons of his past. With a reputation that draws only the strangest cases, he is intimately familiar with the malevolent underbelly of Varangantua. Yet nothing that has gone before could have prepared the probator for the horrors which now blight the district of Polaris. Faced with a savage crime with frightening implications, Drask is thrust into a game of corruption and conspiracy, warring families and blasphemous revelations.

Very good intro into Warhammer crime
Évalué le: 2022-03-14
This was my first Warhammer crime novel and I was positively surprised. It's an interesting mystery and the atmosphere reminded me of an old film noir. The main character did have me rolling my eyes at the overly poetic descriptions but it was more amusing than distracting.
As a Warhammer novel it feels like it fits perfectly in the universe. It felt like being in the boots of someone on a single world with no notions of what is happening in the wider universe. The bleak reality of the inhabitants of the city and the constant feeling of decay and abandonment from the Imperium is palpable in the descriptions of the city.

Histoire
On the capital world of Potence, young enforcer cadet Rudgard Howe is caught up in a bitter internecine feud to inherit his father's position of chief enforcer. As the tithe fleets approach, he is sent on his first mission to ensure that the planet's distant agri-facilities fulfil their quotas to the god-emperor. Farmed with serfs and managed by ex-Militarum soldiers, the agri-facilities are places of shocking brutality and hopelessness.

I can't recommend it enough. This is a fantastic continuation to Ghoulsayer and Realmslayer. I am excited to see what happens next to Gotrek and Malaneth in the Mortal Realms

uncommon AoS novel

unlike most of the AOS books I've read, its hard to describe without spoiling, but don't go in expecting the usual stormcast bash demon! I highly recommend it, I enjoyed the ride till the bitter end lol
