Description
Single and Amish, Grace Wittmer cares for three elderly Englisch ladies in her home. At first, it was to make enough money to survive. But now, she loves them as if they were kin. Thaddeus, Grace’s hired hand, takes care of the animals and the land. He’s a mysterious sort, silent and reserved, yet Grace relies on his steady and solid character.
Near Christmas, Grace receives two unexpected guests: the 15-year-old great-granddaughter of one of her boarders with her baby, Cherise. The home is temporarily thrown into chaos as Grace and the ladies scrapple to take care of both guests. It becomes increasingly clear that the baby’s mother wants nothing to do with Cherise. Grace takes on the child’s care, falling more in love with her every day.
When Grace is courted by Moshe, things become confusing. All along, Thaddeus has loved Grace from afar. And now—because he has never declared himself—he might lose her forever.
