The story was incredible, the narrator was great... The background 'music' was incredibly annoying. Seriously who thought this was a good idea? I almost stopped listening to it because of the annoying background music. I am glad that I listened to it until the end because the story had me in tears at the end.

I truly believe that this is a feat of speculative science fiction of a caliber that has never been seen before. It's a relatively simple story, yet still manages to find complexity in its storytelling, characterization, and structure, and the narration is pitch perfect.

Everybody involved in the production of this book, especially Becky Chambers and Patricia Rodriguez, should be proud of what they've accomplished. Without a doubt the most impactful piece of media I've consumed all year.

If you, like me, were on the fence about reading these books, I can tell you now, you wont regret picking this one up. Absolutely brilliant!

This is a great book! The reader did a really good job and the background music was helpful to the story. 10/10 would recommend

I'm a fan of quick reviews the book was great material was a solid follow-up to the first looking forward to hearing the others but the narrator was fantastic really appreciated alien voices, can't wait to listen to more books read by her hopefully she does kids audio books
