a bit confusing...

I find the 56 yr age of the main character a bit hard to reconcile with the behaviour and actions described. The mannerisms and language support a 35-40ish yr old at best. And I'm not saying a 56 yr old can't enjoy this lifestyle, again...the words just don't suit it. It's awkward!
Asides that, the base of the story is interesting and I learned more about chicken raising than I ever thought possible.
