À propos de cet audio

To defeat his greatest enemy, he may have to become his greatest fear....

Now that he's come home, Wardin is determined to reclaim all that was lost. But when his enemies unite against him, he finds himself outnumbered and outmatched, and his kingdom in more danger than ever.

Amid these threats comes a chilling warning against walking the same treacherous path as his father before him. Desperate not to repeat the failures of his forebears, Wardin turns to mysterious new allies and perilous new magic. And even that may not be enough. To win this war, he'll have to trust the unfaithful, sacrifice the irreplaceable-and perhaps even do the unthinkable.

Yet win it he must. Because if Eyrdon falls, magic will be next.

An enjoyable listen.

Although, sometimes drawn out while other times jumping ahead, making it more work to keep track of story than I’d like, was an enhance listen. I especially liked Wardens sometimes more dramatic moments. Yes, I’d especially like more dramatics. I look forward to next books.

Poorly thought out story

*spoilers*The first book was ok. It definitely had some faults but it was entertaining enough. This book is not. Even if you could get over the fact that your supposed to accept that 3 teenagers have been given the most important roles in their community. The moral "conflict" that has been given to them is so... for lack of a better term, dumb.
An example, Henrietta's big conflict is that she traded books for an army and this "treachery" is eating her up and everybody hates her for it. This is a major event in the story. For more context, She traded 1/3 of the magistries books (that were mostly from other magistries anyway) to a country that wants to set up another magistry in exchange FOR AN ARMY! The agreement allows them to copy all the books so they're literally trading nothing to get an army to save them. As a bonus there would be another magistry set up and this is supposed to be viewed as a bad thing. Not only a bad thing but this is major storyline.
As I said, it's just dumb and there were a number of other similar issues with major storylines being the result of dumb premises but that one broke the camels back. I tried to slog through it since I paid for it but I could not. Do yourself a favour and find something else. The narrator was decent though.
