À propos de cet audio
A Falcon Flies is the first best-selling novel in Wilbur Smith's epic tale of Africa, The Ballantyne Novels.
In search of a father they barely remember, Zouga and Dr Robyn Ballantyne board Mungo St John's magnificent clipper to speed them to Africa. But long before they sight that mighty continent, Robyn knows that she and Mungo will battle with all the fury of natural enemies - and love with all the desperation of those unable to evade the commands of fate. For if she can bring hope and healing to Africa's fever-ridden shores, he, a lawless trader in human cargo, will possess any man - or woman - he chooses....
Set in 1860, this gripping tale is followed by Men of Men, The Angels Weep and The Leopard Hunts in Darkness.

Far from one of this authors best!
I’m not sure I would recommend this book to anyone. I chose this rating because while The narrator is good, there is not a great deal more positive to say about this book. Descriptions and history quite positive as well, but as for the storyline, the characters, and the development, the book leaves a lot to be desired. The brother and sister team are completely at odds at all times. The female is extremely naïve and exceptionally devastating in her actions. She is completely thoughtless and self-absorbed. While she is presented as an intelligent character, she is absolutely not. The young British captain while naïve, is very susceptible to her Limited and shallow personality and he pretty much destroyed his life in pursuit of her. The American, who has more character While Flawed is equally destroyed by his trust in her. Really not a good book!

I read these books years ago but Elliott brought life to the stories and I look forward to the next part of this tale.

Slow start not riviting
I found this book hard to catch my attention and to keep it.
I have heard many of his books now and I find they are hit and miss.
This book and two others I have had trouble with file error messages which throws me off my tasks to try to fix.
