And when on a November morning his new (foreign) neighbours in the terraced house opposite accidentally flatten Ove's letterbox, it sets off a comical and heart-warming tale of unexpected friendship which will change one man - and one community - from their very foundations. Such a beautiful story

I don’t know why people are hating on the narrators voice, I thought she did great. I was engaged the whole time and didn’t want the story to end. This was such a good story that had me laughing and crying and I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Good

My favorite moment personally was a segment that explains how you can judge a man by the car he drives.

It gets pretty "progressive" at times and the protagonist was a bit too likeable for my taste but the flash backs of their marriage were truely heartwarming.

Wonderful Story!!!

Rarely have i found a book that resonates so deeply in my soul. I wish I had an Ove in my life. This book is very well written and excellently read. i put this in my top 5 books list. Highly recommended but have kleenex handy throughout!! ❤️

I read the reviews before reading, it was hard with the accent at first. But the story was just wonderful, can't wait for the movie to come out!

amazing book

read between the lines. I love it. definitely 5 out of 5 starts. there a lots of metaphors. grumpy old man who help everyone around him. I enjoyed it

Strongly recommend this novel

Loved all the characters & the way the narrator gave each a perfect voice. A beautiful, at times bittersweet story about life and love and friendships and the layers of history that lay under the exterior of cranky old men.

So cozy

This is one of my favourites. I watched both versions of the movie and plan to own the audiobook and physical copy so I can revisit. So heartwarming, so much love wrapped up in a mean old grump.

A little slow moving but worth the journey

The story starts out a little slow but by the end I was laughing and felt like I really knew Ove!
