It's no Tolkien

Hearing that this book set out to be a feminist version of LOTR set my expectations too high. That said, it was good enough that I'm willing to listen to the next book.

The narrator is a bit over dramatic, and the storyline feels slow, but there are enough unique ideas that I'm hoping the plot picks up in the next book.
