À propos de cet audio
Even though the war had thrown a shroud over the outside world, Phineas and Gene remained untouched by it. In the summer of ’42, the Devon school was a lot like Camelot, fairly bursting with adventure and promise. As much as Gene resisted it, there had been something eternal and unforgettable about that summer. And by the time he understood what life without Phineas could be—it was too late.

McClure reanimates this classic.
There is nothing more to say about this absorbing novel. I want to commend the reading. McClure brings the familiar words to life with his expressive, but not over expressive reading. He is convincing as Gene, the book's first person narrator, in the adolescent timbre of his voice rendering a young person's enthusiasms and fears. Perhaps his voice was processed by sound engineers. No matter. This was a great book for listening as I trudged towards the days' 10,000+ steps with noise canceling headphones. I searched to find another book read by McClure, but no luck.
