Breathy Male voice is distracting. (Not in a good way)
The story is excellent; however, the male voice reading it can be somewhat distracting. It seems he takes a noticeable breath after every sentence, which can interrupt the flow.

Make voice actor
Loved the story, plot, romance, characters, all of it was great. Female voice actor was fantastic!! Felt the characters emotions from her voice and the way she voiced the other characters was top notch. The only thing pulling the rating down is the male voice actor. His voice in general is not the issue it’s the way he says every sentence with the same annoying dip at the end of it. Started to really errkk me I had to read through his chapters on the actual book rather then listen.

Good story horrible male narration
I couldn’t get past the terrible male narration!!! Literally had to stop and push myself to read the actual book myself ! PLEASE PICK BETTER NARRATORS FOR ROMANCE BOOKS :’((

An incredible sequel to kiss of iron
The characters are so much more dynamic and interesting in this one, and the court intrigue in the fae realm is riveting. I adored the female main characters arc. Themes of sisterhood and self determination abound, and the romantic relationship between the two main characters is truly beautiful. So tender and passionate and complex and full of dignity and care for one another it nearly moved me to tears. Some great action scenes and plot twists too!

when are they gonna understand that male narration is often not what WE women want
the first book had no POV of Bastien and the actress did an fantastic job voicing male and female characters I am disappointed with this book would prefer for only her voice for the narration

male narration ruins it
Please, please re-record the male narration. Every sentence keeps a beat and has 3 exact notes in sequence. As so many others state, it ruins it! I have a condition that doesn't allow for reading any longer, so I have gotten used to listening to audiobooks and am so grateful. If I'd been able, I would have listened to the female and just read the male chapters as others have, but I couldn't.
I got a tension headache each time I listened, just trying to get through his chapters. it was beyond horrible!
How could anyone let this stand and not replace him with another?!
I would say it was robotic it was so repetitive in rhythm and notes, except these days AI would read it better!
This poor author's fun, witty, sexy writing was so ruined by this, I feel it is such disrespect to her work.
Where can we donate, if it's a cost thing, to have it redone?! I feel like I missed half the book.
PLEASE DON'T HAVE HIM READ THE THIRD BOOK!!!
I'm sooooooo disappointed.
