The story is great but beware there is an unfortunate narrator change

While the actual story in book 2 was fantastic with some fascinating magic (bamboo sea anyone), why oh why did you change the narrator for Ning? The new narrator for Ning did not do half as good a job as the Ning narrator in book 1
