À propos de cet audio
Paul Alexander, the best-selling author of the Kindle Single Murdered, introduces us to Tommy Harris, the 14-year veteran of the Houston Police force, his fight with a man outside a bar, a death, and the ensuing homicide trial. The district attorney had boasted, "Anyone can convict a guilty person, but it takes someone really good to convict an innocent one." Did Harris apply a naked choke-hold, or did the district attorney and his forensics team set up Harris?

Thought-provoking Short Listen
Paul Alexander presents the infuriating incident of an overzealous prosecutor going after an off-duty Houston PD Officer (Tommy Harris) after a man he restrained in a parking lot died.
Alexander does a nice job of teasing out what actually occurred (likely a cardiac event after "excited delirium") and documents the murder trial nicely. Unfortunately, the case just isn't that interesting. It's a bit of a reach to expect readers to care about something so mundane.
Paul Christy's narration is likewise "meh". He's adequately interested in the story - and his diction, timbre, and cadence are creditable - but Audible Studios Inc could easily have found another reader to give a similar (or even superior) performance.
If you can get it for "free", this 5.5/10-star recording is a good way to spend a couple of bored hours on a quiet nightshift.. but spend your money elsewhere should they ask for it.
