This book is for you whether you're auditioning for music schools or bands, never learned to sight-read well, or want to read music better. Instead of giving you endless exercises, I show and tell you the basic principles that actually make you sight-read faster. Other books give you all kinds of levels, tons of exercises, and endless practice material for sight-reading, but no one ever shows you the basic principles that make you sight-read faster. Nobody explains the process for taking a whole bunch of notes on a page and simplifying them into patterns and ways of looking at them that make sense quickly. In order to get better at sight-reading, people are told to read more music, but they're not taught how to read the music. My goal with this book is to show you the basic principles you need to know to unlock your fullest sight-reading potential and to eliminate the biggest source of musical insecurity, for good.
