À propos de cet audio
Take the first steps of your financial journey with this helpful companion that will show you the way.
Your teenage years are a time of experimenting, learning, and discovering.
In school, you’re taught about the causes of World War I, the intricacies of The Great Gatsby, and how to compute the area of a circle.
Yet, practical everyday life skills that you’ll need for the future–such as how to handle money–are rarely discussed.
Sadly, this means that many teens don’t know how to properly use a debit or credit card, how to invest, or even how to balance a checkbook.
Despite schools’ lack of focus on financial awareness, 97 percent of teens actually consider financial literacy to be important, based on a survey by Step, a financial services company.
You’re probably one of these teens, too.
You know it’s important to educate yourself about your finances and start on it early, but without guidance from your teachers (or maybe even your parents), where do you turn to?
This guidebook will give you the knowledge and steps you need to properly manage your money.
From opening your first bank account to making your first investment, you’ll find out exactly what you need to do as you begin building your financial skills.
In Adulting Life Skills for Teens, here is just a fraction of what you will discover:
- The secret to regularly saving money without having to think about it.
- Over 30 money-making ideas for teens you can do part-time–start making your own money as early as now.
- The five questions every teen should ask before making any purchase.
- How you can afford higher education without a student loan, even if your parents can’t pay for it.
- How you can practice investing in stocks, bonds, funds, and more without having to risk any of your money.
- How to use debit and credit cards wisely, and avoid the usual pitfalls teenagers encounter with them.
- Why it’s never too early to start saving for retirement–how you can make your youth work to your advantage.
And much more.
You might think that it’s too soon to start thinking about money. After all, your parents may still be paying for everything right now.
But by preparing yourself now while you don’t have any financial responsibilities, when they do come, you’ll be more than ready to face them.
By starting healthy financial habits today, you’re giving yourself a head start on a bright financial future.

Briliant Book!
This book should be required reading in every high school across North America. It easily explains everything about money management, how to spend, when to not spend and the ways you can invest and even plan for your retirement for Teens and young adults. There are many adults who don't know this stuff. Excellent resource for all parents to give their kids or have a family discussion about the options. And it takes the fear out of how to deal with money. Love it! Highly recommend it.
