its alright, not great
neat idea with the stories but it lacks a good flow and some of the readers and almost unbearable to listen to.

Good, not great
It’s hard to rate a book like this. Some of the stories were great! Some were forgettable. Some of the voice acting was great! Some were mediocre. One was so bad I couldn’t listen to the story- it sounded like that terrible monotone computer generated voice-over was reading the story. Still, if you like the franchise it’s worth the listen. And especially so if you GM the RPG, some good nuggets of inspiration to be found here.

The dammed company!
Overall it was great, that's not to say it was was perfect (few things if any ever truly are!) but it was extremely enjoyable and hardly ever a struggle to get through.
I only ever found listening to the audio book difficult twice, perhaps three times. A couple of the short stories seemed peppered with strong themes and ideas that weren't particularly true to the "alien" world or just felt like weird feminism stuff, and a reader or two sounded dead or too bored to put on a good performance.
Granted these incidents where minor annoyances on what was as a whole, a very enjoyable listening experience that I do in time intend to listen to again!

Great Fan-Fiction-Flavored Collection
As is the case with all of these multiple short story presentations, some are outstanding, some are "Meh", and some are genuine klunkers. Fortunately for Horror-tinged SciFi readers, this one has more of the first category.
The stories are more "Colonial Marines fight various Space Monsters" than "Alien"-based, but they're undeniably fun. I recognize several of the authors who submitted stories, too - who obviously wrote stories with love of the subject matter - and there are some Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker Award-worthy talents on display.
The bad entries are headshakingly bad (particularly the ones that don't include xenomorphs).. but be patient when you encounter one. The chances are that you'll be rewarded for your patience with the next in the queue.
As to presentation: The narrators are similarly a mixed bag.. displaying imperfections at times but high-quality listening experiences in general. The inclusion of a navigable menu by Blackstone Audio Inc. underlines the commitment to providing a worthy addition to your audiobook library.
[NOTE: A couple of performances include high volume whisper-screams that sound engineers are unable to soften. Avoid earbuds if you value your tympanic membranes (stick to your car/device speakers with this one)]
Editor Jonathan Maberry states in the Foreword that he had dozens of submissions for this project..
These 19 that he selected are praiseworthy. His curation for this 8.5/10 star compendium is impeccable (even the subpar entries were entertaining for a nerdy Ridley Scott/James Cameron fanboy like myself). The immersion into the 'Alien' Franchise universe over a couple of quiet afternoons was much appreciated.
I got 'Aliens: Bug Hunt' for free as part of the 'Plus' initiative.. but I would have paid a Credit if they had asked. Can Recommend.
[NOTE: Larry Correia's history of the development of the M41A Pulse Rifle is unique (written as an episode of a TV Exposé). I have never heard anything like it👍]

Great stories if you like the Aliens franchise.
All stories were well written and very well read. Definitely worth the download if you like the genre! Siglers contribution from the stand point of the alien was particularly well done and unique.

fun short stories
Fun to have this variety of stories.
