recording is super bassy
the recording quality is rather poor. The mic used by the reader has bass boosted to trap house levels, frankly I wish producer knew about EQ.
it is so bassy that you have to blast the book super loud just to hear the words.
real shame because the story is good, and reader has a good voice.

Wicked listen
To me I found the writing and dialogue a little weak compared to some of the other books I've been reading, but the world building and SciFi were top notch! I really enjoyed this one. Downloaded the next two books as soon as I finished this one. Hope to see more written in this setting.

Enjoyable Light Read
Not a deeply moving, life altering read but I did not expect that. A very solid and fun sci fi read by someone with a voice for the character. Definitely different than the show but I never expect any book that was a basis for a show to be the same. Personally enjoyed it as a way to get outside my own head and world and travel somewhere else in my minds eye for a bit.

Torn and Amazed
I watched the Netflix release before listening to this audio book. I am torn between the two. The stories vary slightly but enough that there was still surprises in the audiobook. I am torn as I can't say I like one completely over the other they both are amazing. The novelization grants us the readers/listeners more detail and even a more refined universe. The story is gripping, dark, very film noir with a sci-fit skeletal structure. Todd McLaren voiced Takeshi perfectly I believed the disembodied voice was Takeshi Kovach.

great book weird audio
I loved the book. found the story interesting and inventive, but the audio was a bit weird. at the beginning, I feel like you could hear them cutting together sentences with a weird noise in between the talking. I think it went away as the book went along, and the narrator himself was great.
